No matter where you get your slop from, you should be able to trust that its safe.

We take publicly available food inspection records and show them to you with an inviting, easy to use app. If youve ever walked into a restaurant only to walk out thinking to yourself, "This place needs to be shut down by the authorities", youll definitely want to check out this app.

The goal of this app is to raise awareness of food safety compliance by licensed facilities. This app is your way to stay safe and informed even if food vendors are not required to display their public food inspection results.

Features:
- Browse facilities which have been inspected near your current location
- The app will automatically load inspection records nearby as your location changes
- Drop a pin by long pressing to search any location on the map for food inspection records
- Dig into a facilities inspection history
- View individual inspection records and a full list of violations, along with comments from the government official conducting the inspection

NOTE: This app currently supports Chicago. Other locations may be added later.

Disclaimer: This app displays food inspection data retrieved from the Chicago Open Data API. The inspection records are meant to be objective, and this app aims to display the data as objectively as possible. It is recommended that you fully read through the inspection data before making any personal judgements towards any food vendor.
